The Thursday Group - Monday Sessions

Tessa Marie Luminati is co-facilitator at The Thursday Group. She has been a collaborator for four years and is a performer with a strong commitment to regular training and exploration of new forms of practice development and performance making. In the Monday sessions, Suzuki Method of Actor Training, Grotowski, M. Chekhov and Thursday Group variations are synthesised. Tessa is creating bridges between improvisational practice experimentations and performance-making.

The Monday Sessions are a dialogue for performers interested in psychophysical techniques. Using various disciplines of actor training such as Suzuki Training, Grotowski, Stanislavski, Chekhov and variations developed on the floor, we keep our skills sharp and improvise new performance material.

With Tessa Marie Luminati facilitating, during each ten-week block, we co-devise performance vocabulary. Our aim is to show work to invited guests at the end of the year at The Thursday Group studios in North Melbourne.
